Criminal Defense Investigations

A Defense Investigator fulfills one of the most important roles on the defense team. The investigators job is to verify and validate all that has been done by the investigating police department. Due to lead investigators Roland Miller’s prior police experience, police officers usually speak with him.

Roland has great skill in locating and interviewing witnesses, inspecting crime scenes and reviewing evidence. Roland has testified in State Court and Federal District Court on hundreds of occasions.

Roland’s personality is a huge asset for “client control.” Roland can establish a relationship with most clients. Roland can keep them focused, grounded and motivated. Typically, Roland’s relationship with clients takes tension off the attorney.

Roland has been selected to be a “Preferred Investigator” for the Maryland Public Defender and the Federal CJA panel.
